About

Taylor C. Line was introduced to the field of Clinical Psychology during a middle-school ‘life project’. Guided by her interests in gene-environment interactions, she entered her undergraduate studies as a first-generation college student. Throughout her pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology, Taylor became incredibly focused on the values of leadership and community. Serving her university across various leadership roles (i.e., Psychological Sciences Club President, Psi Chi Honor Society Chapter Vice-President) allowed her multiple opportunities to enhance her professional growth (e.g., co-founding a mental health initiative committee, organizing a mentoring program for prospective student leaders, conducting interviews on the mental health services accessibility for college students, participating in fundraising efforts for local, non-profit foster care services). While working with undergraduate students as an academic tutor and supplemental instruction leader, Taylor recognized her passion for teaching in higher education and modifying learning techniques to benefit neurodivergent students.

In her final year of undergraduate studies, Taylor dedicated her time to various opportunities (i.e., a research study on ‘the relationship between social media usage and young adult stress’, volunteering as a crisis counselor, collaborating on an academic research newsletter), that would encourage her to enter into a graduate program focused on continuous exposure to clinical health and research. Throughout her practicum and internship experiences within the Texas A&M University-Commerce Community Psychology Clinic, Taylor gained a tremendous amount of first-hand experience conducting psychological assessments and providing individual-and-group counseling within the cognitive-behavioral therapeutic modality with clientele spanning a broad age range. Three major accomplishments include Taylor’s Graduate Teaching Assistantship (i.e., teaching/assisting with undergraduate-level Abnormal and Cognitive Psychology courses), serving as a Research Assistant in the Social Research Lab (i.e., data collection and literature reviews on ‘infertility and public identity’ and ‘health promotion countermeasures for
stress-eating behaviors’), and completing a graduate certificate in the Teaching of Psychology.

As a recent graduate from the Texas A&M University-Commerce Master of Science in Clinical Psychology program, Taylor C. Line is currently working as a Crisis Care Consultant and ADHD Researcher. With aims of obtaining licensure (i.e., Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC)) to serve underserved populations as a professional within her field, Taylor C. Line foresees herself dedicating her long-term career to understanding the social determinants of health and interactions between chronic pain and mental health trajectories.
